Text with diacritics; the vocalization is in red, the šadda and sukūn in green; the hamza is marked by a yellow dot. The word Allah is written in colored ink (red, yellow or green). Yellow decorations indicate the groups of verses; at the beginning of the volume, some verses are separated by groups of three red dots. The beginning of the text is decorated with a rosette which bears the title of the S. I in red ink in its center; for the S. II, this indication is placed in two circles inside a banner (f° 1 v°). At the head of the other suras appear their title and the number of their verses, in colored ink (red, yellow or green). The text is inscribed in a linear red and green frame. Oriental paper. 166 fol. 374 × 259mm. 17 lines per page (except in ff° 1 v°: 9 l., 165 v°: 23 l. and 166 r°: 35 l.). Black ink. Reglure to the misṭara. Writing surface: 275 × 181 mm. Advertisements (placed inside the linear frame). Quinions. Maghreb binding with flap; on both boards, central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (95 × 70 mm; bouquet decoration, cf. OAl), pendants and frame formed of two series of double cold-stamped fillets, as well as rosettes which adorn the corners and the middle of each side. On the flap there is a frame, traced by a double net, the ends of which are decorated with the same rosettes. The framing of the boards is repeated for the covering where an axial fleuron also appears.. Maghreb This volume was constituted waqf by Amīn Ḫoğa in 1242/1826-1827 (ff° 1 r° and 166 v°).. Anonymous notice in French: "volume brought from Constantine and given to the King's Library by HRH the Duke of Nemours" in August 1838 (f° 1 r°).
