Numbering of the notebooks in full letters (2-4, 6-10), in figures (3.5) as well as a completely other numbering in figures followed by the word kurrās, the leaves of each notebook are numbered from 1 to 5 and are sometimes cropped (f. 43). Advertisement (f. 193v).. Title on the frontispiece and at the beginning of each ğuz'. Mention of an incorrect title, added later. Inc.: خلقت الدننيا على خمس صور على صورة الطير برأسه Exp. : انهم غزوا افريقية ومعهم كثير من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من المهاجرين الأولين Anonymous copy, dated 3[0] ḏū al-ḥiğğa 585 h. / February 1190. Cat. of Slane: فتوح مصر و أخبارها “Conquest of Egypt and history of this country”, by ʿAbd al-Raḥmân ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥakam ibn Aʿyan, from the tribe of Quraish, traditionist and historian, died in 257 AH (870-871 AD). This copy contains the text as it was transmitted to students by Abou ʾl-Qâsim ʿAlî ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Khalaf al-Djauharî al-Azdî. (See the article published by M. de Slane in the Asian Journal of 1844.) Ms. dated the year 585 AH (1190 A.D.). Audition certificates dated: 516 h. / 1123 (f. 194v); 887h. / 1482 (f. 194); mentions in the margins of the sessions he attended (13v, 25v, 35v, ...) (cf. G. Vajda, Reading certificates, p. 28-29). Reading marks in the name of Muḥammad ʿAbd Allāh ibn Umar ibn ʿUṯmān al-[Qayrawānī] (f. 194). Marks of possession partly covered on the frontispiece; on one of them, we can read al-Mālikī Taqī al-Dīn, on the other Muḥammad al-Marawī; a third appears to have been made in Cairo and seems to be close to an inscription on f. 194. Stamp (f. 194). Stamp with the figure of Vansleb (frontispiece, f. 194). Notices by d'Herbelot and Langlès. Brown calfskin binding, red shagreen spine with the number of Louis XVIII.

From Slane: The conquests of Egypt and its news “Conquête of the Egyptians and the history of these pays”, by ʿAbd al-Raḥmân ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥakam ibn Aʿyan, from the Qoraïsch tribunal, tradition and history, after 257 of the year (870-871 de J.C.). This example also receives the text that is translated by students from Aboul Qâsim, son of Khalaf al-Djauhar al-Azd. (Voyez the article published by M. de Slane in the Asian Journal of 1844.) Ms. date of the year 585 of the year (1190 de J.C.).
