Golden rosettes with green centers, enhanced with red dots, separate the verses. Concentric blue and gold circles whose center is occupied by a white geometric decoration indicate the groups of ten verses. At the head of each surah appear its title and the number of its verses in gold characters surrounded by a red line; a sticker accompanies this indication. At the top of the volume there remains a decoration occupying the entire page (f° 1 r°); white lines draw circular figures with six lobes which, through their intersections, create the illusion of an interlacing of circles of smaller diameter on a golden background enhanced with small blue and green six-pointed stars. On either side, two horizontal bands bear Quran LVI, 79-80 in white “Kufic” characters on a background of golden arabesques; two vertical bands complete the frame with a golden wavy rod decoration. On the initial double page, the text of S. I and the beginning of S. II are arranged inside a circular figure with eight lobes in each of the two frames (ff° 1 v° and 2 r°); these are made up of two horizontal bands of unequal size (the top one is larger) and two vertical bands with a decoration of golden hexagons inscribed in contiguous circles. In the upper band, the title of S. I and II is written in white “kufic” characters on the blue background of quatrefoils caught between two lattices drawn by a white line on a gold background. The number of verses is indicated in an oval cartouche, in the center of the lower banner. The text is written in different characters and colors depending on the lines; the first and last (l. 13) are in large black ṯuluṯ, the middle one (l. 7) in a script close to muḥaqqaq, in golden letters outlined in red. The intermediate lines (l. 2 to 6 and 8 to 12) are in nasẖ. The last words of the first half of the Quranic text are arranged inside a golden circle. On a double page, the beginning of the second half is placed in the squares of a checkerboard: the words alternate with squares occupied by stylized plant decoration on a gold, green or blue background; the title of S. Each seventh of the Koran begins within a frame occupying a double page: in the cartridges of the upper bands (more important than those of the frame) is indicated the number of the seventh; a half-vignette is placed opposite the upper and lower edges of the decoration, a middle vignette between the two (see ff° 41 v°-42 r°, 82 v°-83 r°, 124 v°-125 r°, 168 v°-169 r°, 210 v°-211 r° and 254 v°-255 r°). A triangular decoration indicates the sağda. Oriental paper. 302 fol. 345 × 248mm. 13 lines per page (for layout, see above), except in ff° 1 v°-2 r°; 41 v°-42 r°, 82 v°-83 r°, 124 v°-125 r°, 168 v°-169 r°, 210 v°-211 r°, 254 v°-255 r°: 7 l. Reglure to the misṭara. Writing surface: 215 × 187 mm. Black and gold ink. Quinions. Oriental binding with flap, the spine of which was restored in Europe in the 18th century. Central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (84 × 65 mm; “clouds” decoration, cf. NSd, fig. 6), pendants and cold-stamped fillets on both boards. On the flap, in a cartridge, appears Koran LVI, 79, also cold stamped. On the cover, cold stamped fleuron and fillets.. Türkiye?
