This work, also known as Sefinêtü'r-Rüesa, was composed by Ahmed Resmî Efendi, Ottoman statesman and historian, author of important biographical works. It gives the biographies of sixty-four Reîs Efendi (reîsülküttab or foreign ministers), from Koca Nişancı Celâlzâde Mustafa Çelebi to Ragıb Mehmed. Süleyman Faîk gave a continuation of this work under the name of Zeyl-i sefinetü'r-Rüesâ (BnF, Turkish Supplement 1082 and Turkish Supplement 1427). Signature of the copyist dated H. 1183 [1769/70].
