Text with vocalization and orthoepic signs. Decorations in the shape of three inverted commas in a triangle, red in color, separate the verses. The rubricated word ʿ ašr, in the margin, indicates the groups of ten verses. At the head of each surah are its title and the number of its verses, also in red; for ff° 219 to 269, the word count of the suras was added. The division indications in ğuz ʾ and ḥizb, always in red, are placed in the margin. Oriental paper, with three grouped bridges; Western paper at ff° 219-269. 300 fol. 233 × 153mm. 13 lines per page. Reglure to the misṭara. Writing surface: 170 × 118 mm. Black ink. Claims added. Quinions. Western binding, red morocco with the arms and figure of Louis XV (during the binding, ff° 60 to 69 were placed upside down). Defective at the end (I, 1-CV, 1); ff° 1-2 and 219-269 were redone by another hand. Egypt?. Waqf marks in the margin of several leaves (cf. ff° 64 r°, 118 r°, etc...). Inventory mark of the library of Cl. Hardy (F, cf. H. Omont (Henri), French archaeological missions in the Orient in the 17th and 18th centuries..., Paris, 1902, 2 volumes, II, p. 990-993).
