Biyografi veya Tarihçe Elisa de Chénier née Frémaux (1817-1892) lègue à sa mort ses papiers personnels et ceux de son mari en partie à la Bibliothèque nationale de France, l'autre à la bibliothèque de Carcassonne. Elle était mariée à Gabriel de Chénier (1800-1880), avocat et chef du bureau de justice militaire au Ministère de la guerre ainsi que neveu du poète André Chénier et de l'écrivain Marie-Joseph Chénier. Détenant en partie les droits patrimoniaux sur l'oeuvre de ses oncles, Gabriel de Chénier a supervisé une partie de leurs biographies et éditions.
