Notes Other file(s) linked to this institution: FRBAMCCFR-000060-01b.xml. Turkish Neskhi, written in a red line, at the very beginning of the 17th century. Containing a treatise, without title or author's name, on the legendary history of Islam, as it was conceived by Tabari, the prophets, Mohammed, the Omayyad, Abbasid and Fatimite caliphs, the Ayyubites, the Mamluks of the two dynasties (folio 1 verso); an untitled pamphlet (folio 29 verso), in which a certain Mohammed (folio 31 recto), who dedicated it to Sultan Soleiman II, son of Selim I, son of Bayezid (926-974 AH = 1520-1566) [folio 32 recto], sets out the history of the Osmanli dynasty, since Ertoghroul, son of Soleiman Shah, until the death of Sultan Selim II, son of Soleiman II, in the year 974 AH, which shows that the author continued his work until a date much later than the death of Soleiman II. It is likely that the first pamphlet contained in this manuscript is due to this same Mohammed, and that it constitutes an introduction to this summary of the history of the Osmanlis, in which the genealogy of the padishahs is linked (folio 32 verso), to purely legendary characters: Boulghar, son of Baï Temour, son of Boromish, son of Kedek Alp, son of Anmouz, son of Kara Khan, son of Baïkhara, son of Boulčaď, son of Japheth, son of Noah; the list of Persian kings of pre-Islamic dynasties (folio 103 recto), accompanied by short historical notices, in which we note the Iranian-Jewish syncretism of Tabari, followed by the list of kings of the Greeks, successors of Alexander the Great, and the history of Alexander himself.. Turkish cardboard.
