This tezkere is the best of all those in Osmanli literature; it is generally known under the name of Tezkere of Hasan Čelebi, and contains notices on about six hundred rhymers, divided into three sections: the sultans of the line of Osman, the imperial princes, individuals, after a diffuse preface, in which is read the panegyric of Sultan Mourad III, and the dedication to the famous historian Saʿd ad-Din; it was completed in the year 994 AH (1586). Luxury manuscript, decorated with an illuminated sarloh, which was acquired by Galland, in Constantinople, in 1695. Turkish binding, in stamped brown morocco.
