The name of the author of this commentary is not indicated; it is the work of Sorouri; according to the British Museum copy, it was completed at the beginning of the month of Rabiʿ first 965 (end of December in the year 1557); but it is visible that this date is erroneous, and that this commentary was completed in Rabiʿ second 963 (February 13-March 12, 1556), date on which the present copy, which is the original, was written; see No. 1070 of the Catalog of Persian Manuscripts.
