Beautiful vocalized neskhi, with red thread, copied by Mohammed ibn Maulana Pir Hoseïn, nicknamed Haği Baba el-Sivasi, in Amasia, and dated Friday the seventeenth day of the month of Ǧoumada first of the year 819 of the hegira (July 13, 1416).. This novel by Alexander, although its author swears that he owes nothing to anyone, constitutes an imitation of that that Nizami wrote under this title, and Ahmedi brought into his framework, like Nizami, a host of Islamic notions, which have nothing to do with the history of Alexander, philosophical dissertations on the nature of the world and that of man, a summary of the history of the East since creation, in the form of a story told by Aristotle to his student. The handwriting of this manuscript, which is almost contemporary with the author, is remarkable; the first pages are a modern restoration, made in a good nestalik, at the beginning of the 17th century. In this copy, as in the next, as in all those which predate the conquest of Egypt by Sultan Selim, there is never any question of the caliphate خلافت of the Muslim sovereigns and the Mongols, but of their royalty پادشاهی. This copy of Ahmedi's Iskender name is decorated with several paintings, copied from Persian paintings from the beginning of the 13th century, executed under the direct influence of the Mesopotamian process of the 11th -12th centuries. Bound in red morocco, with the arms of Colbert.
