The author of this exegetical work only intended, according to the preface, to comment on the kasid of ʿOrfi; still the manuscript only contains part of it; the order of the pieces is not the same as in the copy described under number 1847 of the Persian Fund. According to a note, in the hand of Langlès, which is stuck on one of the interior covers of the binding, this manuscript was brought back from Egypt by General Menou, and deposited by him in the Library on 18 Ventôse of the year XI; the verses of the kaside of ʿOrfi are written in red ink, and their Turkish interpretation in black.
