(). This collection includes recordings of speeches and interventions by Bertrand Delanoë as well as his deputies during his first mandate as Mayor of the city of Paris, and the first three years of the second. The magnetic tapes have all been digitized. The first mayor of Paris was elected on July 15, 1789. Jean Sylvain Bailly then succeeded the last provost of the merchants of Paris, Jacques de Flesselles, assassinated the day before - the city had been administered by this corporation since the 13th century. (Étienne Marcel, Guillaume Budé, François Miron)... Subsequently, Paris was redivided into as many municipalities as districts. From 1871 to 1977, the city was administered by the state and Paris did not have a mayor. The law of December 31, 1975 recreates the function of “Mayor of Paris”. This law makes Paris both a commune and a department. Paris then constitutes two distinct local authorities, but whose affairs are managed by the same assembly: the Council of Paris. From 1977 to 2002 the mayor of Paris did not have municipal police powers, which were exercised by the Paris police headquarters. Since 2002, these powers have been shared between the mayor of Paris (traffic, parking) and the police prefect. With the law of December 29, 1986 adapting the administrative and financial regime of the city of Paris, the legislator partially returns to the PLM Law with regard to Paris. It gives the mayor some prerogatives that the PLM Law granted to the Police Prefect: health, maintaining order at fairs and markets, conservation of the city's public domain. The law of February 27, 2002 “relating to local democracy” modifies the functioning of Parisian institutions: it imposes the division of cities with more than 80,000 inhabitants into districts and makes neighborhood councils obligatory., The first part of the ceremony is in duplicate on the cassette listed DONAUD0316-124., (truncated start) Declaration by Bertrand Delanoë. At 45 s, Ivan Levaï, host of the ceremony. From 6:14, message from Dalia Rabin-Pelossof, followed by a documentary on Yitzhak Rabin. At 17 min, Ivan Levaï. At 9:18 p.m., speech by Bernard Zilberg, president of the Yitzhak Rabin House. At 24:57, recorded messages from Shimon Peres, Mahmoud Abbas, King Abdullah II of Jordan. At 36:10, David Kornbluth, charge d'affaires of the Israeli embassy in France. At 40:17, Colette Avital deputy to the Cnesset. At 46:06, Roger Cukierman, president of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (CRIF).
