Cairo, s. d., III, p. 217 Abū l-Maḥāsin Ḥusaynī, Ḏayl taḏkirat al-ḥuffā ẓ al-Ḏahabī, Beirut, s. d., p. 281.. Catalog of Blochet (1905-1934) n° 2350, Ibn Ḥaǧar, al-Durar al-kāminah. Cairo, s. d., III, p. 217 Abū l-Maḥāsin Ḥusaynī, Ḏayl taḏkirat al-ḥuffā ẓ al-Ḏahabī, Beirut, s. d., p. 281.. Some paintings in black or red ink illustrate No. I (f. 169v-70, etc.), as well as figures (f. 164v-6v, etc.). In f. 1 shows a list of the pieces in the collection. Text No. I has several additions and glosses, some from the hand of the copyist, others from the one who copied text No. II (f. 18v, 24 or 62), others from a different hand. Copies from different hands. Only Nos. IV and V are by the same hand, anonymous, but dated, for No. IV (f. 272), from Sunday 11 Šaʿbān 808H. (/ February 1, 1406) and for No. V (f. 293v) of Monday 29 Šavvāl 808H. (/April 19, 1406). No. I, with the exception of its f. 1, redone later, is in Nasẖī script whose letters have rounded shapes, with short hastes, of 21 lines per page, with rubricated titles and advertisements (recalling Central Asian writings?); the f. 78v-104 are however of another writing which announces the Nastaʿlīq. No. II, also anonymous and undated, is in Nasẖī, in sepia ink. No. III, also anonymous and undated, is in a cursive Nasẖī of 13 to 26 lines which closely resembles the writing of the ms. Persian supplement 1786 (ms. dating from the 13th century, while here the writing appears late 14th - early 15th century), but with advertisements. No. VI, anonymous and undated, dates back to the 16th century, and is in Nasẖī of 20 lines, with advertisements. No. VII appears to have been copied by an Ottoman hand in the 16th century. Written surfaces 90 × 170 mm (No. I), 110 × 225 (No. III), 100 × 165 (No. IV-V) and 100 × 190 (No. VI). Ms. of 160 × 240.. Extract from a note [from a traditionist?] from a family of Medinan jurists, ʿAlī b. Yūsuf b. al-Ḥasan Zarandī, which gives the list of his authorities and, among his masaẖa, a Šuʿab al-asānīd.. Ms. having been part of Colbert's library, but whose origin is not established. A Latin notice from Renaudot and a signed notice from Armain (n° 229) are inserted before f. 1.. Half-bound with brown morocco back with the number of Louis-Philippe.
Sample Text Extract from a note [from a traditionist?] from a family of Medinan jurists, ʿAlī b. Yūsuf b. al-Ḥasan Zarandī, which lists his authorities and, among his masaẖa, a Šuʿab al-asānīd.
