In f. 73v, a note in Arabic on the word al-ābdāl; in f. 74, a note on the succession of šayẖ ʿIzz al-Dīn Ṭāʾūsī, Abū Yazīd Bisṭāmī, Ǧunayd Baġdādī, ʿAbd-ullāh Anṣārī, Abū l-Qāsim Gurgānī, Šihāb al-Dīn Suhravardī, and Saʿd Ḥamūyya, and an anecdote about Abū Saʿīd Abī l-H̱ayr and Abū l-Qāsim Gurgānī. In f. 74v, three Persian rubāʿiyyāt by Pahlavān Mahmūd Bakiyyārī and 2 Arabic quatrains by Saʿd al-Dīn Ḥamūyya [cf. Persian Supplement 1777, f. 324]. In f. 75, four Persian rubāʿiyyāt of Ḥamūyya; in f. 75v an Arabic quatrain by ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib. In f. 76 another quatrain gives the names of different characters, the last of which are Quṭb al-Dīn Abharī, Rukn al-Dīn Saǧāsī, Awḥad Kirmānī, Ṣadr al-Dīn Qūnavī and ʿAlī Ǧāmī. Ibidem a tradition gives, according to Saʿd Ḥamūyya, 757H. (/1356) as the date of “birth” of the Mahdī; quotes from Šayẖ Muḥyi al-Dīn ʿArabī and Qāsim Anvār. In f. 166-7 appear, in Arabic, a tradition about the angel of Allāh, another about the daughter of Ḥasan Baṣrī, a bāb fī faẕīlat al-ṣalawāt, etc. In f. 189v, a note on Saʿd Ḥamūyya In f. 1 is mentioned a price (60). The texts are all in a different hand. Only No. II includes (f. 165v-6) a colophon indicating that the copying was completed in Damascus (Dimišq) on 25 Raǧab 745H. (/December 2, 1344) by Musāfir b. Ǧamāl b. ʿAlī al-Tabrīzī, in Nashī script of 13 lines per page, with rubric titles and advertisements. No. I is in slightly slanted Nasẖi of 13 lines, with rubric titles and advertisements. No. III in Nasẖī with fairly elongated shapes of 13 lines, without advertising. No. IV in a slanted script close to Nastaʿlīq of 21 lines, dating from the end of the 14th century. (?), without complaints. Written surfaces 75 × 155 mm (No. I), 75 × 155 (No. II), 80 × 180 (No. III) and 75 × 185 (No. IV). Oblong format ms. 115 × 230.. (f. 3). Collection of poems by Abū l-Muz̤affar M. b. Abī l-ʿAbbās Aḥmad al-Abīvardī (d. 507H./1113) (cf. f. 3v). Incipit: (بسم ...) اِنّ احقّ ما تصرف الیه الهمم وتنتهز فرص الامکان فیه (...) Explicit: (...) اذا رفع المیزان کیف امیل —. Ms. from the Mazarin library (n° 1687). In f. 1 shows a notice “Miscellanea arabica et persica” in the hand of Denis de la Haye-Ventelet, like the notices of ms. Persian 24, etc. A notice signed by Armain (n° 265) appears on the v° of the 2nd head guard. Bound in full red morocco hot-stamped with a central plaque with the royal arms and a triple border of fillets.
