This work is divided into three sections, dealing respectively with verbs, nouns and particles, following the doctrine of Arabic grammarians. The verbs section is subdivided into twenty-three chapters, following the vocalization which affects the first two radicals; the section of names is subdivided into five chapters, according to the object they designate; the third contains only a few lines. One of the owners of this book added an interlinear translation of the Persian words. At the end we read a one-page pamphlet, attributed to the imam Ğaʿfer el-Sadik, in which this saint deals with questions which interest the Mystics, the names of God, those of the prophets, the companions of Mohammed, etc. ; at the end of the volume, there is the representation of the seal of Mohammed; folios 1-2 contain a table of contents, in the same hand as the text of the lexicon. Western binding, in calfskin, with the figure of Charles X.
