This dictionary, which in fact remained in draft form, was to be followed by the “Geographic Dictionary of the Cities and Places of the Ottoman Empire, which are cited in Leo Clavius, and reformed on the original” (folio 117 recto). We read, on folio 1 verso, the genealogy of the emperors of the Ottoman dynasty, from Sultan Mohammed IV (1058-1099 AH = 1648-1687) to Noah, in sixty-six generations, following the musings of Turkish historians. This draft of a dictionary was written in Constantinople, on Turkish paper, by Galland, probably... Galland; Oratory.. Turkish binding, in stamped yellow leather.
