This specification is dedicated to Sultan Ibrahim (1049-1058 AH = 1640-1648), whose name was omitted by the scribe; it is divided into four chapters, the details of which are indicated in the preface, on folio 3 recto, the title and the name of the author being given on folio 2 verso. The first sets out the history of the prophets; the second, that of Mohammed; the third, that of all the Muslim dynasties, including the three Khalifats, until the appearance of the Ottoman dynasty, with an appendix, in which the four ante-Islamic dynasties of Persia are treated; the fourth (folio 177 verso), by far the most important, sets out the history of the Osmanli dynasty, up to and including the reign of Sultan Ibrahim I. At the end of each of the notices which compose it, Kara Čelebizade indicates the dates of the accession and death of the sovereigns, the duration of their reign, the names of their sons, with the date of their birth, the names of their viziers and sheikhs el-Islam; the text of the Rauzet el-ebrar is followed (folio 370 verso) by a continuation, by the same Kara Čelebizade, as indicated by its title, which contains the history of the first ten years of Sultan Mohammed IV, son of Ibrahim. On the front of folio 2, there is a biographical note on the author, with an indication of the works he composed, in which there is no mention of the mesnevi that he wrote, under the title of كلشن نياز, at the time of his exile in Cyprus. The title written on the first page falsely claims that the Rauzet el-ebrar was composed in 1198 (1784). Turkish binding, in stamped and gilded leather.
