The author recounts (folio 2 verso) that his brother Mohammed, who had been the disciple of sheikh Haği Baïram, composed at his request, under the title مغارب الزمان, a presentation of the faith of Islam, both from the exoteric point of view and that of the esoteric doctrine, in Arabic language; it is this work that Ahmed Biǧan translated into Turkish, while his brother, Mohammed, wrote a rifacimento in Turkish verse, under the title رسالۀ محمّديّه; the Anvar el-ʿashikin was finished at Gallipoli, at the beginning of the month of Moharrem in the year 855; the author treats, in five chapters, the works of God accomplished by the angels and the prophets and the resurrection (see no. 20); a Muslim catechism was formerly found following the Anvar el-ʿashikin..
