Fragments from the history of the Ottoman Empire without author's name, by Kemalpaşazade Mevlana Ahmed ibn Süleyman, including passages on Murad II, Mehmede II, Beyazid II and Selim I. Preceded (f. Cv-f. Dv) by اشرتى نامه composed in 971 AH (1563-1564) by kadi İşretî Çelebi. Comprising: (folio 1 verso) a history of Sultan Murad II, in prose and verse, including pieces in Persian, from the year 847 AH (1443) to the end of his reign; the history of Sultan Mohammed II (folio 46 verso), obviously taken from the same work as that of Sultan Mourad II, from his accession until the capture of Constantinople in Ǧoumada the first 857 (May 10-June 8, 1453), with the description of Paradise on earth that is Hagia Sophia; the story of the end of the reign of Sultan Bayezid IIبايذيد خان, and of the struggle which began between his two sons, princes Ahmed and Selim, in prose and verse (folio 100 recto), with the mention, in its title, that it is the work of Kemal Pashazade; the history of the beginning of the reign of Sultan Selim I until the capture of Tabriz in 1514, by the same author (folio 118 verso). The attribution of these chapters of Osmanli history to Kemal Pachazade is written in Turkish on the flyleaf, while a European owner of this book has written that they are the work of “Echrefi Čelebi”. The text of these historical chapters is followed, on folio 149 verso, by a series of kitʿas, in Turkish, of four hemistichs, of which the subject of some is indicated by a title written in red ink; we read, at the beginning of the volume (folios C verso - D verso), the اشتر نامه, which was composed, in the year 971 of the Hegira (1563-1564), the kadi ʿIshreti Čelebi, at the time when he exercised his functions in Roumlou Kiz Hisar.
