F. 1, colors and angles of the planets; f. 2, two quatrains in Arabic by Ibn Nabata and Ismaʿīl b. Aḥmad. On the v° of the penultimate guard, Arabic couplet due to one of the copyists. In f. 59, a Latin inscription in Raue's hand is scratched. The copy of No. I, anonymous, was completed (f. 57) on 15 Ǧumāda II d [9]71H. (January 30, 1564). That of No. II, in another hand, is not dated, but probably contemporary. No. I is in cursive Nastaʿlīq (Ottoman?) of 17 lines per page, with rubric titles and advertisements; written surface: 75 × 130 mm. No. II is in Nastaʿlīq (Ottoman?) of 16 lines, the last being half a line including the advertisement; headings. Written surface 80 × 135 mm. 125 × 180 ms. Maḥmūd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Iṣfahānī. These glosses are dedicated (f. 59v) to a sovereign named ʿīsà Pādišāh. Incomplete from the end (gap). Incipit: بسم (...) حامد الله المحمود علی کل فعاله ومصلنا علی رسوله محمد (...) End: (...) الی القسمین —. Ms. having first belonged to Christian Raue of Berlin, whose figure is, f. 1, the ex-libris, then having been part of the library of G. Gaulmin, who annotated it (f. 2v, 59v) after Raue (f. 1); it bears (f. 69v) the initials of the two people who made the inventory of his books and the number “three hundred and twenty eight”. , A notice signed by Armain (n° 365) can be read on the first guard. European binding in full speckled parchment, (comparable to those of the Persian ms. 14, etc., which must all have been part of the same library), mounted on the scraps of the cover of an oriental binding.
