The girl is 11 years old. The main clauses are as follows: - Annual sum of 100 francs paid to the father - Food, clothing, medical care. Treat the child “with kindness and affection which are not incompatible with the notion of hierarchy between master and servant”. - Payment of outward and return travel expenses and accompaniment of the child by a trusted person. Liane can send the child away whenever she wants, the little girl can only express her desire to return after 5 years. Passport for traveling to France, dated December 2, 1913, in French and Arabic, (tears in the folds) and passport receipt, in Arabic. Fathma is declared to be 14 years old (is this because the Jules Ferry law of 1881 imposes compulsory schooling for children until the age of 13?)
