Many chapters are missing, and the series of sultans of Egypt ends around twenty years earlier than in other copies. An African hand has inscribed on the back of the last leaf a piece of (eighteen) verses, rhyming in لا, and containing observations on the religious practices of Christians. This piece is attributed to the great mystic doctor, Moḥyî al-Dîn Ibn al-ʿArabî. Ms. dated 969 A.H. (1559-1560 A.D.).

The text of this copy appears to be that of the first edition of the work. Many chapters are missing, and the series of sultans of Egypt ends around twenty years earlier than in other copies. An African hand has inscribed on the back of the last leaf a piece of (eighteen) verses, rhyming in لا, and containing observations on the religious practices of Christians.
