On the reverse of the upper cover, mentions of births and deaths between the years 1061-1068 AH (1650-1657 AD); in f. 1 mention of births between the years 7117-7120 of Adam (AD 1609-1612) and note dated 7105 of Adam (AD 1597) indicating that Niqūla sold this ms. to Ǧirǧis, for the sum of 80 piastres, for his son Ibrāhīm; on the back of the lower cover, mention of the death of the patriarch Kīr Makāriyūs al-Ḥalabī on 11 Ḥazīrān 7181 of Adam (1673 AD). Sent to the Marquis de Villeneuve, French ambassador in Constantinople, by Father Campaya, missionary in Damascus (see Omont, Missions archéopogiques, p. 665.. Oriental binding, black sheepskin on wooden boards; traces of clasps. Decorated edges..
