These songs appear to date back to the 17th century; they are preceded by an anonymous dissertation on music; this collection is followed (folio 133 verso) by the al-Qaṣīdat al-hamziyya of shaïkh Bousiri, composed in praise of Muhammad, with the title of al-Qaṣīdat al-Bousiriyya fi madh khaļr al-bariyya, and poorly copied by Zaïn al-Din ʿOmar ibn ʿAla al-Din (ʿAlaï al-Din), in 1032 AH / 1622-1623; if we are to believe a note which reads on leaf 132 recto, the first part was copied by a certain Mohammad, in Safar 1129 / 1716-1717; one of these two dates is obviously wrong, probably 1129, which must be for 1029 / 1619-1620.
