(1262-1263 A.D.), was shaïkh al-Islâm, with the title of Taqî al-Dîn, in Damascus, where he died in 728 the hegira (1327-1328 AD). In this work, we find numerous extracts from his literary and theological correspondence, and on fol. 38 v°, a dissertation on drunkenness, فصل فى السكر و اسبابه و احكامه. The preface begins with these words: الحمد لله نحمده و نستعينه و نستشهد به و نعود بالله من شرير انفسنا الخ.

This doctor, born in Ḥarrân, in 661 AH (1262-1263 AD), was Shaikh al-Islâm, with the title of Taqî al-Dîn, in Damascus, where he died in 728 AH (1327-1328 AD).
