Text with vocalization in red; the hamza is marked by a yellow dot, the waṣla by a green dot, the šadda and the sukūn by modern signs, colored red. The verses are not separated. At the head of each surah is its title in red or yellow ink. Indications of division in ḥizb and their subdivisions are written in red in the margin. Western paper, watermark in the shape of two shields surmounted by a crown, with the MENVRIN mark, cf. Heawood (Edward), Watermarks mainly of the 17th and 18th Centuries, Hilversum, 1950 (Monumenta Chartae Papyraceae Historiam illustrantia, I), n° 660. 58 fol. (f° 57 remained white). 205 × 155mm. 11 lines on the page. Black ink. Writing surface: 147 × 95 mm. Senions and quinions. Oriental binding with flap, central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (44 × 35 mm; atypical bouquet motif, lower start) and framed by three groups of triple fillets and half-rosettes cold-stamped on both covers; the iron of the rosettes was used to decorate the corners. This frame is used for the covering, completed by an axial finial, also cold stamped. A) F° 2 r°: prayer; B) ff° 3 to 56: ğuz ʾ XXIX and XXX of the Koran (LXVII, 1-CXIV, 6). Maghreb Copy executed by Muḥammad b. Mūsā Lağrūdī (?) (f° 56 v°).. Mark of possession of Sidī Belqāsim b. ʿUmar (f° 1 r°) 1 (1. Is this character identical to the Sidī Belqāsim referred to in the Arabic ms. 4348? The question remains open.). Mark of ownership and notice by C. Berault. Comes from the library of E. Renaudot, bequeathed in 1720 to the abbey of Saint-Germain des Prés.
