This summary, according to a note written on the front of folio 2, is divided into three sections, dealing respectively with: the history of the prophets and the caliphs (folio 5 verso), to which must be added that of the dynasties which reigned in Egypt, Ayyoubites and Mamluks; of the sovereigns of the dynasty of ʿOsman (folio 33 verso), with all kinds of information on their children, the great dignitaries, the scholars of their time, up to the reign of Soleiman I, the details of the constructions that this prince made in Constantinople; of the history of the kings of Antiquity (folio 110 recto), that is to say of the four pre-Islamic dynasties of Persia and the sovereigns of the Greeks. This story was composed in 969 AH (1561-1562), which is the last date we read in it; the chapters which compose it are not numbered, but they each bear a special title; we find, at the end of the manuscript, a list of Ottoman sovereigns, from ʿOsman to Ahmed III (1115-1143 AH = 1703-1730)..
