Containing, among other things: (folio 2 verso) a collection of missive letters in Persian, including a letter addressed to Sultan Yaʿkoub, of the Turkoman dynasty of Ak-Koyounlou, probably by Maulana Hosam ed-Din Idris Bitlisi, who wrote the Hesht behisht (see the Persian Catalogue, no. 522), followed by a letter from the same Idris Bitlisi; two letters, addressed by Sultan Ğem to his brother, Sultan Bayezid II, while he was in the country of the Franks, with Mustafa Pasha; a letter from Bayezid II to ʿAbd el-Rahman el-Ğami, dated 1 Sha'ban 895 (June 20, 1490), with the response made by the famous poet; a letter from Bayezid II to Ǧelal Mohammed ibn Asʿad el-Davani (see Persian Catalogue, no. 740), dated 1 Shaʿban 895 (June 20, 1490), with the Persian scholar's response; two letters from the king of Persia, Shah Ismaʿil I, to Sultan Bayezid II; a letter, probably written by Bayezid II to Sultan Hoseïn Mirza, ruler of Khorasan; a letter, written to the prince of Shirvan, to inform him of the conquest, by Sultan Selim, of Egypt and Aleppo, in 923 AH; a letter, sent by the sovereign of Hindustan, Mouzaffer Khan, that is to say Mouzaffer Shah II, sovereign of Guǧarate, to Sultan Selim I, in response to the letter by which this prince announced to him that he had defeated the Circassian Mamluks; the text, transcription and translation of a letter from Mohammed III to Henry IV, dated from the second decade of the month of Rabiʿ first 1012 (August 9-18, 1603) [folio 34 recto]: letters (folio 40 verso); the copy of an Arabic inscription from the Mikyas, or Nilometer, in Cairo, dated the month of Reǧeb 485 (August 7-September 6, 1092) [folio 105 recto]; the translation of a letter from Imam Ghoulam Hoseïn Khan, minister of the nawab ʿAli Dost Khan, relating to the affairs of the French in Pondicherry (folio 114 recto)..
