Accounts in francs and douros (upper backplate, 1st and 2nd endpaper). At the beginning and end of the volume, a notebook has been left blank. Senions. Pagination in eastern Arabic numerals in black, at the height of the first line in the outer margin, and in western Arabic numerals in red, in the center in the lower margin. Advertisements on all sheets.. Title on f. 1v. Copy completed on Saturday 20 ḍū al-qaʿada 1264 h. / October 18, 1848 by Maḥmūd ibn Aḥmad al-Šarīf al-Ṣafʿāfī (f. 141v). Incipit (f. 1v): هذا سيرة الإسكندر ذو القرنين وفيه أحاديث ... قال صاحب الحديث اياته وبدايته كيفية وكيف كان سبب بدايته وانتقال أموره و قد ألف هذا الكتاب من كتاب التاريخ للمسعودي رحمه الله ... قال صاحب الحديث Explicit (f.141v): قال وكانت سنة خروحه ليفتح البلاد وارشاد العباد ومبلغ خروجه إلى مميته ثمانية عشر سنة ... وهذا ما جرى من سيرته و خبره والحمد لله رب العالمين.
