Cf. ms Arabic 1637. Copy executed by ʿAbd al-Ǧawād ibn ʿAlī al-Abyārī and completed on Thursday 2 Ramaḍān 1027/23 August 1618 (f. 224).. Mark of possession and stamp overprinted (f. 2). Comes from the Séguier-Coislin library, bequeathed to the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Cover binding, brown morocco, cold-stamped central plates in the shape of polylobed mandorlas measuring 55 x 43 mm, bouquet decoration with broken stem, cf. DEROCHE (F.), The Manuscripts of the Koran: from the Maghreb to Insulindia. Paris, 1985, II, type OAi, border of two cold-stamped threads also on the part covering the gutter and on the cover. On the cover, medallion with thistle motif. Paper title document bearing the Séguier rating. Colophon (f. 224): This blessed copy and great Meccan chronicle was completed on the blessed Thursday, the second of the great month of Ramadan, in the year 1027 of the Prophet’s Hijra, and praise be to God (...) at the hands of its writer, the poorest of servants, to the honorable and honorable Abdul-Jawad bin Ali Al-Abiyari, may God forgive him and his parents...
