This character, in manuscript 419 (folio 2 recto), is named ʿAbd Allah ibn Mahmoud ibn ʿOsman, and one of the owners of the present copy wrote, on the recto of the first leaf, his title, in the form حاجى عبد الله لطايف لامعى, which shows that Lamiʿi's son was named Haği ʿAbd Allah Dervish Mohammed ibn Mahmoud ibn ʿOsman ibn ʿAli. This work is divided into an introduction and five chapters; its title is not indicated in the preface; that of Letaïf is written on the edge of the volume; it corresponds to this fact that it is divided into chapters, each of which is entitled latife. Turkish binding, in stamped and gilded brown leather.
