(f. 1 v): فهذا ما دعت إليه حاجة المتفقهين الحمد لله الذي أظهس ثمر الروض من كمامه ... و بعد BROCKELMANN (C), Geschichte der arabischen Literatur, II 2, 244 [10, Cmt. ] ; Suppl. II, 254 [10, Cmt. ] Copy executed by Aḥmad ibn Sulaymān ibn Aḥmad Ibn Ḥāḍūr al-Ḫānakī and completed in 944 AH (f. 415). Mark of possession in the name of the copyist, another mark in the name of Aḥmad al-Barānī who bought the manuscript from ʿAbd al-Qādir ʿAlī ibn ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad al-tāǧir al-Ḫānakī, mark in the name of ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Šāfiʿī, ḫaṭīb to the maḥkama Ašrafiyya (f. 1 and 415), who bought this manuscript from Nūr al-Dīn ʿAlī ibn al-tāǧir al-Šāfiʿī on 25 rabīʿII 981/1573-4, another mark dated 1004/1595, the manuscript was then acquired by the qāḍī ʿaskar al-Šaʿrānī in 1160/1747 then by his children Aḥmad and Ibrāhīm (f. 1 and 415), mark of possession in the name of ʿAbd al-Munʿim al-Ḥinnāʾī dated 1002/1593, illegible stamp (f. 1); table of titles of the chapters of the 1st volume (f. 414 v); mark in the name of Mūsā al-Bahnasī (f. 415). Oriental flap binding, brown morocco; central plate, cold-stamped fillets and frame on both sides.
