Comes from the Library Séguier-Coislin bequeathed to the Saint-Germain-des-Prés abbey. An old fol. restored endpaper bears the ex-libris of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the indication of the nature of the work; mark of possession of a certain Ḥusayn... al-Ḥanafī and illegible note from the author dated 993/1585 (f. 1); mark of possession of Aṯīr al-Dīn ibn ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn al-Ṣaydāwī al-?āfiʿī dated 1055/1645 and handwritten note by an Italian (f. 133 v).. Modern European binding.. Transliteration system used: Arabica, close to standard ISO 233-2: 1993 : Information and documentation — Transliteration of Arabic characters into Latin characters — Part 2: Arabic language — Simplified transliteration.
Sample Text Premiers mots (f. 1 v): The Book of Fasting, the encouragement to fast in general, and what is mentioned regarding its virtue and the virtue of the fasting person’s supplication, and it contains sixteen hadiths incomplete. Other words (f. 133): These are the times and places in which blessings and peace be upon the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and some of them are more certain than others. In some of them, the situation has been declared obligatory and obligatory, as I have indicated, and in general, blessings and peace be upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is a pure good.
