Text with vocalization and orthoepic signs. Groups of three points or inverted commas arranged in a triangle, in red ink, separate the verses. Irregularly, the rubricated word ʿ ašr, placed in the margin, indicates groups of ten verses. At the head of each surah are its title and the number of its verses, also in red. The indications of sağda and ḥizb were written in the margins in the same ink. Oriental paper. 250 fol. (249 plus f° 56 bis). 248 × 158mm. 15 lines per page. Reglure to the misṭara. Writing surface: 171 × 116 mm. Black ink. Quinions. Oriental flap binding, brown morocco; central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (49 × 70 mm; bouquet decoration, cf. OAl, fig. 1) on both boards, cover finial and cold-stamped frame threads. On the flap, in a cartridge, Quran LVI, 79 cold stamped on an arabesque background. The last leaf has been redone by a more recent hand. Türkiye. Imprints of illegible Ottoman stamps (f° 1 r°). A European hand wrote in Turkish: “belongs to Fra Rūl (Raoul?), priest of the church of Saint-Jean” (f° 249 v°). Comes from the Gaulmin library. A European hand numbered the suras, but the count becomes inaccurate after S. LXXXIII.
