Twentieth volume of Masālik al-abṣār devoted to animals, plants and minerals. Devoid of indications concerning the title and the name of the author, this volume was long considered anonymous, or was attributed to Ibn al-Bayṭar. Having devoted the previous volume to man (الحيوان الناطق), the author treats, in the first part of the present volume, animals and, in the second part, which contains colored figures, plants. He followed, he says, mainly the جامع of Ibn al-Baïṭâr. The arrangement of the articles, listed at the top, is alphabetical, but irregularities are noted.
