Oriental paper, with three grouped bridges. 25 fol. 241 × 161mm. 9 lines on the page. Black ink. Writing surface: 156 × 98 mm. Advertisements. Quaternions. Oriental binding whose flap has disappeared and whose spine has been restored; central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (70 × 51 mm; “broken stem” bouquet decoration, cf. OAi, fig. 16) and cold-stamped fillets on both boards. A) Ff° 1 to 24: ğuz ʾ XXVI of the Koran (XLVI, 1-LI, 30); B) F° 25: passport issued by the court of Morocco to “French doctor Étienne Hubert” (ob. 1614), and for his servant Lubin Pons; this piece, by a European hand, is intended for the qā'id Muḥammad b. Muḥammad ibn Bağğa and bears the date of rabī ʿ II 1008/November 1599. Egypt Notice in French by the hand of “the listener Hubert” (cf. the mss. Arabic 106, 460, 1181 and 4313; Suppl.
