Oriental writing (Syria). — Table of titles of works contained in the collection (f. 1); insults against the nusayris sect by a certain Ḥasan Dabūr dated 1223/1808 (f. 37 v-40); scribe's note in verse (f. 64 v); rosette containing the names of Muḥammad and Salmān, another rosette containing the name of the designer, Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm al-Namīlī (f. 65). 179 fol. (f. 1v, 39v, 40v-41v, 65v-67, 68v, 179v left blank). — 225 × 175mm. — 10 to 16 lines per page. — Written surface 155 × 110 mm to 185 × 125 mm.. Most of the manuscript is in the hand of Ḥasan al-Ḫaṭīb ibn Manṣūr ibn Ḫalīl... al-Šuǧāʿī al-Muḥrizī from 1208/1793 (f. 37 v) to 1211/1796 (f. 111 v, 155, 167 and 174 v) for Yūsuf ibn ʿAlī ibn Yūsuf ibn Bilāl ibn Yūnus ibn Salmān Sarǧiyūs ibn Raḍwān ibn Salmān ibn Šāhīn ibn ʿAlī at Ṣafītā near ʿAkkā (f. 155) at Abū Niyāḥ (f. 174 v); the copy of the first part was executed by Ašturr ibn Muṣṭafā and Ḥasan is then mentioned as owner, it was completed in 1208/1793 (f. 37 v); Ašturr ibn Muṣṭafā is then mentioned as copyist of the 4th piece, intended for Yūsuf ibn ʿAlī ibn Bilāl of al-Qulayʿāt (f. 64); the copy of the last piece was made by a certain Muḥammad in 1211/1796 after the copy of a possessor named Salmān Sarǧiyūs dated 1055/1645, after that of a certain Ibrāhīm of Latakia dated 636/1238 (f. 179).. An anonymous notice (Clot Bey ?).. Oriental flap binding, brown morocco; border decorated with a geometric V-shaped design; three cold-stamped striated rosettes adorning the plates.
