Notes
17.5 x 11.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, who created man in all phases of soul, spirit, and body, and made that wondrous composition a talisman over the treasures of his secrets, and prayers be upon the messengers who guide the path. And know that the human person, with his dense appearance, is a dark, incomplete, and perfect body.. He was included in a group of which this is the seventh letter. He did not mention the title of the letter, nor did he mention the name of the author. The paragraph heads were written in red ink. It has footnotes and comments. The title appeared in the Berlin Index 4/5364, “A Treatise on the Rational Soul” by the same author, and in Revealing Suspicions, “A Treatise on the Spirit,” followed by blank pages from 181v-182v at the end of the manuscript: And it is what Jesus, peace be upon him, referred to when he said, “He who has not been born twice will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven... If you are able to penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth by divesting yourself of corporeal bodies... you will not penetrate except by authority, that is, by pretext.” Clear evidence is monotheism, abstraction, individualization through knowledge, and annihilation in God Almighty.
