Notes	Ibn al-Salah was one of the virtuous men of his time in interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence, and the names of men. Among his works are Fawaid al-Rihla, and Ibn al-Salah’s introduction, which was printed. This treatise was removed from the collection (6b-19b) by the copyist. From it remains another treatise entitled “The Clarification and Explanation in Knowing the Measure and the Balance by Najm al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Rif’ah al-Ansari.” The text was written in black ink on thick brown paper containing a faint watermark: About a circle with a triangle inside it, on both sides of which are the letters B.S
