The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God who has favored the sons of Adam with knowledge and work over all the world, and prayers and peace be upon the master of the Arabs and the non-Arabs... And after I saw many students of knowledge in our time finding knowledge... I wanted and loved to show them the way of learning according to what I saw in the books... and I called it the Book of Teaching the Learner... included in his collection, this is the first book of it. The Arab sources differed regarding the dates of his death. Some of them said the above date, some mentioned it was around 600 AH, and some mentioned he was alive in 93 AH. Its pages are bound in red ink. It has footnotes and comments in the margins, some of which are cut off or deleted due to poor binding and cutting. Its leaves are broken. Copied by: Mahmoud bin Abdullah The end of the manuscript: He must learn something of medicine and seek blessing from the works contained in medicine collected by Sheikh Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mustaghfiri in his book called The Medicine of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
