The text was written in black ink, the chapters and words of the citation in red ink, with explanations and comments between the lines and in the margins. It is a summary of Al-Ghazali’s Ihya’ Ulum al-Din. The sources differed as to its author, although the majority indicate that it was Muhammad al-Balkhi, while the al-Ward indicate that it was Abdullah al-Madani. It was damaged by dirt and moisture and did not affect the text. It was bound in cardboard covered with cloth.
