Notes
Severe ground affected the text. 29.5 x 21.3 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Abu Hurairah. If he does not know how many times he has prayed, let him prostrate two prostrations while sitting. The scholars differed as to what is meant by it. Al-Hasan Al-Basri and a group of the Salaf said the apparent meaning of this hadith, and they said: If the praying person doubts and does not know whether to increase or decrease, then he only has to prostrate two prostrations while sitting, in accordance with the apparent meaning of this hadith... It has some explanations and footnotes. It has corrections that were accepted on a copy in the author’s handwriting and on a copy of the last copy. This is the second part of it. The beginning and end of it are truncated. It begins during the explanation of the chapter on forgetfulness in prayer and prostration for it from the Book of Prayer, and ends during the explanation of the chapter on the extent of the path if they disagree about it, with the beginning of the Book of Obligations. The copy was met and shown to the copy in the author's handwriting, and in its footnotes there were corrections and comments, some of which were copied from the work's handwriting as well. It has footnotes and comments in different scripts, some of which are in the handwriting of Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Naji al-Halabi, who died in the year 900 AH, the master of dictation, in which he mentioned his footnotes to the explanation of Sahih Muslim by al-Nawawi. He also added a complete text that was omitted from the copy while it was on the paper, No. 8. Some of the other footnotes are not known to their owners, and some of them date back to the era of the copy. The copy was poorly restored. The end of the manuscript: ... His saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: I am closer to the believers than they are to themselves. So whoever dies and owes a debt, I must pay it. And whoever leaves behind money, it belongs to his heirs. It was said that he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to pay it from money for the interests of the Muslims... Our companions disagreed about paying off the debt of someone who died with a debt. It was said that it must be paid from the treasury, and it was said: It is not necessary. The meaning of this hadith is that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him
