Notes
His earth, its moisture, and its wetness, 26 x 18.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, as befits His great majesty, and thanks be to Him for the greatness of His favors. As for what follows, this is a book that I have labeled “The Precious Samat” in which I collected what was mentioned about the virtues of the Mothers of the Believers, including a number of noble and devout scholars. I wrote the titles and paragraph heads in red ink. Corrected version. It is the first collection to mention the names of its letters on its title page. On the title page is a statement in the handwriting of Abdullah bin Salem Al-Basri (d. 1134 AH) that the book is one of his authorizations, and that it belonged to Ahmed Al-Desouki in the year 1074 AH. Copied by: Muhammad bin Musa bin Muhammad al-Fayoumi al-Juwayni al-Shafi’i. End of the manuscript: As for the reason and the gifted person, the author of al-Safwa and al-Fadaili mentioned them, but he did not mention anything about the best of them, and God knows best. This is what God brought to us. May God benefit from it and return to us the blessings of what He contained with His grace and generosity. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions. Praise be to God alone.
