When the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) went to bed, he would put his palms together, blow on them, and recite: Say: He is God, one and the two exorbitants, then he wiped with them what he could of his body, starting with his head and face. And whatever comes from his body, he does that three times: (May God’s prayers and peace be upon him) and honor, glory, and generosity, and to his generous family and companions, and many peace be upon him. This second part of this version, begins with the interpretation of Surat Hud, and ends at the end of the Holy Qur’an. The first two pages are covered with a gilded frame around the text, with a gilded and decorated crown above it. The rest of the pages are tabulated in red and blue.
