Notes
Its earth, its humidity, and its wetness. The outer size is 28.3 x 17.5 cm. The copy is truncated at the beginning and end. It begins during the rhyme of the “ba” and ends during the rhyme of the “ya.” The pages are tabulated in red ink, and with it I wrote the titles of the poems and the interludes during the verses. The copy suffered damage that severely affected its papers, as some of the text was perforated, and it was poorly restored. On places in the copy there is a comment and scraping of a hadith that offends it. The Diwan was compiled by Badr al-Din Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Bashtaki (d. 830 AH). The beginning of the manuscript: I was the face of piety, unobstructed.. .. in a happy spring.... Then I had the opportunity of a distressed spring. The end of the manuscript: These houses and the world are suspended... as if the word was devoid of its meanings.
