Notes
17 x 9 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Between the lines, an explanation in Persian of five pamphlets, narrated by Hafs on the authority of Asim. In the footnotes, readings and disagreements are written in Shatibi symbols. Some of them have been cut off as a result of restoration or old binding. The Uthmanic drawing is mostly adhered to, as is the case of Ay Kufi, and may make mistakes in it as a brush or in general, without the pages being directed. It adheres to mentioning the commentary, noting bowing with a red letter (A) in the footnote, noting prostrations with the word (prostration) in the footnote, and omissions add it, and it may be in a handwriting other than the copyist’s handwriting. He divided the part into four parts, mentioning its number in writing or in numbers at the beginning of the part, and leaving it in some parts. The sections of the part are: (part), then (quarter), then (half), then (third), meaning: three-quarters of the part. He may write it as (three-quarters) and write the first words of the parts in red. (My mouth is longing) The decorations of the two facing pages are very creative and wonderful, with the texture evident in the multi-colored roses, in a wonderful arrangement of green orange, bright red, pink, blue, and dark green, with wonderful successive decorative pieces. He frames the pages with a gold frame outlined in black, above it is a green frame, above it is a wide gold frame, then dark blue, then a space to write what he needs, then a double outer black frame, and what is beyond it is cut off by the volume. The dividers are a gilded circle outlined in black with red dots.||The beginning of the parts is decorated with a gilded circle surrounded by corners with upper and lower lines, as well as the divisions of the parts. He made the writing surface lines in a color close to gold, framed above and below by two double black lines, and under each line were verses. He wrote the meanings of the words in red and the beautiful commentary line. The stop symbols used are (Ta La J Sa Z Sa Sa Waq) and he may overlap them and write (M) for the heart in Tajweed. The information line for the Surah is in one line, decorated with a gold background and writing above it in white. Remnants of the previous Surah may be included in this line, in which the name, revelation, and number of the verse are written in words or numbers. The last line may make it as in: Al Imran, Fussilat, Al-Shura, Muhammad, Al-Tur, the hypocrites, Al-Qalam, Al-Takwir, Al-Layl and Al-Nasr. The basmala is in a separate line, and the last line may fall as in: Al-Anfal, Al-Hajj, Al-Mu’minun, Al-Furqan, Al-Rahman, Al-Taghabun, Al-Malik, Al-Infitar, Al-Shams, Al-Balad, and Al-Elephant. Al-Dahr), (Abs = Absi), (Al-Takwir = Al-Kurt), (Al-Infitar = Al-Infitarat), (Al-Inshiqa’ = split), (Al-Zalzala = earthquake), (Quraysh = Quraysh), (Al-Masad = flame), and in Al-Jathiya, he said: (Al-Jaathiya is called Sharia). It may be added to the line of information about the surah that is not related to what was mentioned, but rather either by exception in the revelation, or the number of words, and it may be mentioned if there is a disagreement between it being (Meccan or Medinan). He wrote opposite the word (and let him be kind) in the footnote (Half of the Qur’an is based on the number of letters on Fa’ and let him be kind)/v. 244.||I cleaned the Qur’an, then renumbered the pages because it was a mistake. The paper is yellow, thin, and has been torn at the edges of the gilding. Its condition is unstable, despite the beauty of its writing and decoration. There are remains of a seal on some papers that say: (Muhammad Jaafar) and underneath it is a date as if it were (1241 AH). Moisture and wetness at the beginning and end of the Qur’an. The pages were surrounded by beautiful geometric shapes, and the verses were written on a gilded background. All of its leaves were braided in gold, green, and black. The end of the manuscript: From the evil of the whisperer is the whisperer who whispers into people’s breasts from heaven and humanity.
