Metin Başı (İncipit)	ثم إلى أرض ويشبه أن يكون نحو مائة وسبعين مرحلة وذلك أن من حدّ الثغور في الشمال إلى أرض الصقالبة نحو شهرين ، وقد بينت لك أن من أقصى الجنوب إلى أقصى الشمال مائتي مرحلة وعشر مراحل . وأما الروم المحض من حدّ رومية إلى حدّ الصقالبة ....

Metin Sonu (Explicit)	ومنها ما ذكره أبو الريحان الخوارزمي أن والي سنجاب أهدى إلى نوح بن منصور الساماني فرساً له قرنان ظاهراً وثعلباً له جناحان من الريش إذا قرب الإنسان منها نشرها وإذا بعد ألصقهما بالجنب ، ثم قال : ربما يتعجب الناس من الثعلب الطيار فإن الثعالب كان طيارة في عهد الكانيين ومنها دجاجة برأسين ودجاجة بأربع أرجل . وليكن هذا آخر الكتاب والكلام في الحيوان وبه نختمه وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل .
