The book consists of questions that Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Saadi posed to some of his students, on the book Matn al-Zad by al-Hijjawi, to test them, while they were reading to him, so he chose the best answer and included them in this book. Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Saadi taught them, then Muhammad Ibn Mani’ taught you. As for the students, they were: Eid bin Abd al-Aziz bin Eid al-Tamimi, Muhammad and Ibrahim, the sons of Saleh al-Ibrahim al-Juffali, Ibrahim bin Abd al-Aziz al-Muhammad al-Ghurair, and Abd al-Aziz. Al-Aziz bin Hamad Al-Ibrahim Al-Musairie, Abdullah and Hamad, sons of Othman Al-Hammad Al-Khuwaiter, Muhammad bin Mansour Al-Ibrahim Al-Zamil, Ali bin Muhammad Al-Abdullah Al-Khowaiter, Saleh Al-Hamad, Al-Abd Al-Aziz Al-Bassam, Ahmed Al-Murshid Al-Zughaibi, Nasser Al-Hamoud Al-Ohali, Saleh, Abdullah, and Abdul Aziz, sons of Muhammad Al-Nasser Al-Ohali, Zamil bin Ibrahim Al-Zamil, and Ali and Abdullah Al-Hassan Al-Ali Al-Braikan. The copy was written in black and red ink.
