The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God who made me one of the scholars of explanation and meanings, and thanks be to God who made me one of the keys to the divine creations... And after that, the servant was cut off from the people and refused to be consulted, and since the Book of Golestan included strange stories and strange errors... such that most of its places needed explanation and clarification... Some eminent people explained it, ignoring the Persian language and terminology... I explained it. A sufficient explanation, and I explained it in a comprehensive manner... Humidity and wetness. I wrote the headings of the paragraphs and underlined the phrases of the text of Golestan in red ink. The copy is corrected, and contains footnotes, comments, demands, and benefits, some of which are written in red. Transcribed by: Shaaban Ibn Ali End of manuscript: ... (And seek for yourself something good that you desire) meaning you desire (from that) meaning from that request for yourself seek (forgiveness for its owner). Know that the first commentator has exerted his effort in explaining it, and if he made a mistake in many places, I have pointed out the places of error and stated the correct thing, and I exaggerated in his response with kindness, because Golestan is the place of joy, may God forgive him and all the Muslims.
