The title was given in abbreviated form: “Ibn Malik al-Manar.” The first pages of the manuscript enclosed the text within a rectangular frame and its margins were crowded with comments, while those comments were rare on the following pages. The text was written in generally shiny black tan ink, while the warning lines were in red ink. The text was written on light-grain paper with parallel lines and commercial watermarks, including the letters v.G, the letters I.B, and the letters S.S, and on a fourth paper. The sign of the falcon, the first leaf is the index whale, and the second contains the text “Mustafa bin Hassan took this letter, may mercy and benevolence be upon them and his parents.”
